About this item:

We Used to Live Here: A Novel is a haunting debut book by an author described as a future titan of the macabre and unsettling. The story follows Charlie and Eve, a young, queer couple who flip houses and purchase an old home in a picturesque neighborhood. Their lives are disrupted when a man and his family arrive, claiming to have lived there previously and asking to show his children around. After Eve allows them inside, inexplicable events occur, including the disappearance of the family's youngest child, a ghostly presence in the basement, and the sudden vanishing of Charlie. As Eve struggles to maintain her grip on reality, she questions if the house and the visitors are truly dangerous or if she is imagining the events. This novel is soon to be a Netflix original movie.
