About this item:
Incidents Around the House: A Novel is a horror story written by the New York Times bestselling author of Bird Box. The plot follows eight-year-old Bela, who lives with her parents and grandmother. Her family is haunted by a malevolent entity known as Other Mommy, who repeatedly asks Bela if she can go inside her heart. As the entity grows stronger and bolder, Bela realizes her family is in danger unless she provides an answer. The narrative explores the cracks in her parents' marriage and the bonds of family as they face this supernatural threat. This paperback edition is the inspiration for the upcoming major motion picture Other Mommy, starring Jessica Chastain. The book is a Locus Award finalist and a Bram Stoker Award nominee, described as a chilling tale of horror.
