Miracle-Gro Garden Soil All Purpose is designed for in-ground use to help grow plants. This soil feeds plants for up to 3 months and improves existing soil to build strong roots. It is suitable for outdoor in-ground plants, including flowers, annuals, perennials, trees, and shrubs. To apply, spread 2-3 inches of soil in a garden bed or in-ground area and mix into the top 6-8 inches of native soil. When planting individual plants, dig a hole twice as wide as the container or root ball and blend a 50:50 mix of garden soil and native soil. To amend garden beds, apply a 3-inch layer and work into the top 6 inches of soil. Three 1.5 cu. ft. bags cover 24 square feet at a 2-inch depth, while four bags cover the same area at a 3-inch depth.
