If you have concerns about accuracy - the pleth shows how good the read is. (Nice smooth up & down)
tracks Oxygen Saturation and Pulse Rate over time. Its readings pretty well match what I see at Doc Office, and it's AMAZING it can do it for under $20, when similar devices go for more than $150!!!
Out of necessity and invention, I discovered today that it works just fine on a TOE, too!
I was talking to my doc on a call and she was saying SPO2 needs to ideally be in the mid-90's or higher, and I reminded her mine is historically quite a bit lower... down in upper 80s to low-to-mid 90s tops.
She asked what it looks like while I'm sleeping and of course who knows? I don't check it like that.
But I supposed I could, if I used my Bluetooth monitor and wore a GLOVE or something to keep it on.
Then I thought. let's verify what is RIGHT NOW over time. But having to hold the device on my FINGER while I sit here and try to type... I can't get much done. I kind of need my HANDS!
But I said to myself, "Self, I said, you have a few other monitoring appendages available not doing much while you type. Wonder if this thang will work on the TOES!?"
And sure enough... same reading; same numbers, fits fine...
Great! So now I can get a much longer-time-scope reading SPo2 from my FOOT while I keep working.
Perfect!

This is definitely a useful device to have if you have oxygenation issues due to Covid or any other cause. It's not terribly useful for trying to record data overnight, since you have to manage to keep the device on your finger, and your phone or tablet from going to sleep. Also, which it claims it comes with an "alarm" for low oxygen, there is no alarm that sounds. If your oxygenation saturation drops below 88% or your pulse goes over a particular level (I think it's 140), what happens is that the number displaying your sats or pulse flashes very rapidly.
All in all, this is a fairly affordable device to get if you want to keep a record of your pulse and blood oxygen saturation levels over time.
Overall only acceptable.
First off, it came with a lantern, battery, instructions on how to use, instructions on how to connect with the phone and the app you need, the certificate that looks like when it was last checked and the warranty and who to contact for trouble shooting papers (they’re all tiny papers)
It uses two AAA batteries and like all lanyards they’re a pain to insert. It wasn’t too bad, I’m just bad at it.
Just the basics that it has the pulse, the oxygen saturation and a wave form and a couple of indicators that I don’t really look at like each heart beat and how your heart is pumping. Plus the battery indicator.
So the cool thing I like about this is the app and that it shows you your data from your phone. I had an easy time connecting after I downloaded the app it asked to connect to the pulse ox and it connected without any issues. I own an iPhone X if you need to know.
I tried it on myself and my 4 and 6 year old nephews. It gave me a reading within seconds but I did notice that it had trouble reading the 4 year old’s finger since he had tiny fingers. After using his thumb, his reading came through. The app did store all the data which I thought was cool.
I wanted this for possible monitoring in case I need one at home but I just like these to be on hand especially if a vital signs machine isn’t readily available and a patient is having issues.
I like this idea so if a patient does need to record at home, this can give you something to refer to
Overall, I like it’s first impression, will update if there is any issues or if there are any nifty things I found after using this for a while

You can also use this, just like any stand-alone unit… without the ‘need’ to connect the app.
I am very glad that I decided on this particular unit and have been considering buying several more to pass out as gifts.
